Steam is the most powerful gaming platform
It seems that Steam has been maintaining its leadership position in the field of computer games almost since its inception. Although new competitors have emerged over the years, perhaps the most prominent of which is the Epic Games store, Steam itself has only grown stronger over time. This remains the case even now, as the platform has achieved a new record.

According to SteamDB, the Steam Store had about 34,649,583 concurrent users about 9 hours ago, at the time of writing this text, and of those users, more than 11.1 million were playing a game (while others were using the app outside of the game). This is the highest number of concurrent users the platform has seen so far, breaking the previous record of over 33.6 million concurrent users, which was set earlier this year, in January.
Achieving a new peak in March is unusual for Steam - it usually gets a big boost in December and January thanks to its Winter Sale - which makes this achievement all the more significant.
